Dreams

I often dream of Molly. I would say once a week maybe. Some of them are scary. My most scary ones are of birds of prey trying to swoop down and carry her away. I end up getting the shotgun and blasting them. LOL. You know you love your dog when you dream more about them than you know who. I still love ya hon. Sort of makes me feel guilty.
But does anyone else have this guilty feeling.?

Coach was in my dream the other day... I think it was one of those that I had forgotten to feed him for months and with the horror came the surprise how well he'd done without food and water.

Classes haven't gone to, workers screaming at me for things not my fault.... my dreams are never a pleasant experience.

Dave, I live with a guilty conscience...

Laura, at least we never die in our dreams.

Well there you go...

A good friend of mine has the same type of dreams... we've convinced ourselves that we get all the demons out at night and that that makes life easier during the day.

I sometimes think I hear Henry barking in my sleep. It's very vivid and I wake up not sure if it has happened or not. Then I see him spread eagle at the foot of the bed in his coma-like sleep - so innocent and sweet. I dont have dreams about birds of prey but I worry constantly about something bad happening to him. Thoughts of big vicious dogs charging at us on a walk, coyotes luring him into the woods and ripping him apart, deer turning around and stampeeding him, cars crashing into us and hurting him. All these thoughts are accompanied by how I would save him. I once told my husband that maybe I should get a taser in case a dog tried to attack Henry. He wont even trust me with an electric hedge clipper let alone a weapon! Anyway, now that everyone on this forum knows I'm a complete nut job, I will simply sign off!

I've read where certain personality types dream of 'problem' situations about lots of things. That would be me. I can never remember what I dreamed about exactly but know it wasn't a good situation. Sometimes it's about Keeper that much I know.

Nothing nutty about those sort of dreams. I think we all have dreams that seem crazy, maybe they serve a purpose. LOL

I normally dream that i am on a long journey, pretty much crossing a river or the like and i am carrying Uli in my arms all the way. OR i suddenly feel something is missing, i look back and she is right there... i pick her up and continue my way. Another is that i am playing with her in my old high school yard (???? odd). As for nightmares i dream i have been away and neglected giving her food and water, but when i get home she is all scrawny and ugly,... and boney but still comes licks me and wags her tail. That dream, i was freaked out.
I guess we all have dreams like that because we love our dogs so much that we always keep in mind that they as vulnerable as any human baby.
