Question VERY WEIRD - Barking at?

Ok, the weirdest thing happend last night..

Beamer started barking and whimpering and acting all scared and stuff at... NOTHING?!

He was just staring at the wall across the room or nothing?? He started acting all scared and barking.. and walking backwards and running away. I kept on bringing him back in the room and he kept on doing it over and over?!!? Whats this about?? This was not the same 'scaredness' when they see there reflection or are scared of a yogurt container or water bottle...

Do you think he saw 'ghosts'??? lol... you know the old wivestail that dogs or some animals have the 'sixth' sense?? Anyone elses Havs ever do something very odd like this????

Thanks!
Ryan

Sometimes Radar will bark at a picture of My Wife's Late Grandfather. He stares at the picture and get's all weird and stuff like the pic is staring back at him. I would consider it a possibility.

I don't know if it's possible myself--but my husband tells about a dog they had growing up.....it was a hunting type big dog/and one night he went from window to window barking and carrying on etc. That night his Grandma died.

Ryan,

Do you have anything hanging on that wall that Beamer might have seen for the first time?

Hi Ryan,

My dog did something like that in the middle of the night,we thought he was crazy, but he was hearing raccoons. We could not hear them or seen them until later, but during the night he would go crazy if he heard raccoons.

We later found out that in the middle of the night a raccoon mother and her babies were coming in the garage and eating the cats food. They would run around our yard. The baby raccoons make a chattering noise so the mother knows where they are.

Do you have any critters that Beamer might be hearing?

Hi Ryan, my rational side says a critter in your wall like a mouse or even a bug is most likely . But I don't rule out spirits or that animals have a sixth sense. Is there any history with your house or apartment? "They" say spirits are beings who left this earth unexpectadly or had unfinished business. My sister says she saw a ghost when she was in her 20's and when she researched it a young man had died of a heart attack in the bathroom of her apartment in the 30's. She did what she was instructed to do on the Oprah show and tell him "he was dead and he would be happier if he moved on" Not sure I believe it (she was a child of the 60's afterall) But It's cool to think that your Beamer may have a sixth sense. Keep us posted.

Sedona is like Gucci, if there is something out of place she acts nutty too. She is afraid of face-shaped things. My husband left his wheelbarrow out back and it was upside down and she freaked at the wheel sticking up. She freaks whenever I bring out the large rainshower head we got for Christmas (which we haven't installed). There is a doll on our dresser that freaks her out too.
Maybe there is something different in your room that Beamer noticed or, like the other said, maybe he heard a critter that you didn't hear.

It is definitely possible that you have a mouse/rat or something else in your wall. One place I lived at had squirrels that learned to get into the roof and every once in a while they would fall through the cracks into the wall and get stuck there. Sometimes they make a lot of noise but often times they didn't. Amazingly enough, at that same place, I heard scratches and called the repairman, thinking that a squirrel was stuck in the wall again. However, when they cut a hole in the wall they found a DEAD squirrel (petrified ) which had made no noise at all when it fell in there - maybe it died from the fall? - and when they took it out, a BIRD flew out at their heads. I don't think I have ever heard a man scream so loudly (like a complete girl) before. It did freak us all out, though!
