Ruffles had her first off leash experience

My wife had fun with this one because I was at work. The mailman came to the door and when my wife answered it Ruffles got out. Now that in and of itself is unusual because she doesn't usually try to get out when people come to the door, but this time was the exception. She stood there in our front yard so my wife quickly got her sandals on and went outside to get her. Instead of coming in, she started walking down the street following our usual walking route. My wife followed her all the way around the cul-de-sac. She stopped to go potty and kept on going back up our street and back toward the house. She crossed the road, walked back to the house, and waited by the front door to be let in. I'm really glad there were no rabbits around because if she saw one of them...she would have been gone! I have to train her to come when we call. That's the only command she doesn't obey. Just thought I'd share her little adventure. It pays to walk the same route everyday.

Of course I had to go back later with a bag to pick up her mess because my with didn't have time to grab one...LOL.

A little scary but cute. Be careful next time you open the door.

Had a similar experience recently. I Was walking Maya on her usual walk. She was getting stubborn and slipped out of her collar. She bolted with me chasing behind her. Luckily she stopped right in fron of our door. I switched collars to one that she wouldn't so easily be able to slip out of.
