Coach and return to California and family
Coach did really well on the trip home. Three pretty long days. Thank god for pee pad training. In Amarillo it was so freakin cold and windy neither him nor I or DH wanted to hang out trying to find a suitable place to pee. We tried, but no go.
Went in, put the pee pad down. Pee and poop. Perfect. The next night after a 12 hour drive to Needles. I walked him a bunch, but didn't want to go although he did go at a rest stop earlier in the day. Brought him in the room, put the pee bad in the bathroom. We sat down to watch sports with a glass of wine before dinner. He came running in all excited, went to look, sure enough a pee. Then disappeared again, came back in all excited. A POOP! such a good boy.
He never made a peep when driving except when he needed to go. What a trooper.
He was so excited when we got home, he'd been here all summer and definitely remembered. Ran right up to the front door and then right to the back door to go outside. Then when he saw all of his toys that we'd left here it was like Christmas. Just the most fun to watch him so joyous.
Then thanksgiving with my sons (and girlfriend Kristin) at my folks with my sister. He was so good, anyway, I've put an iphone pic of us as my new sig. Not the best quality but it does get us all.
So nice to be back in California and have a real yard for the boy.
