rainny day

Recently we are getting more rain and getting colder. Taking Precious out to potty is getting harder. Precious doesn't seems to mind the rain much, she still takes her time to go around. When she finished, her mouth, paws were soaking wet. I use a towel to dry her up. But during day time, we still let her go out to potty every 2 to 3 hours to ensure no accident at home. If the weather is warm I wouldn't worry much. But the weather is getting cold, I just wondering how you all do during wet and cold days.

Thanks!

If it rains for quite a while, I have to take Momo out with an umbrella because she doesn't like going out and will hold it for a long time to avoid doing so.

Donnie, Momo and Ume's mom and loving it!

In really bad weather, Kodi uses his litter box!

Bumi doesn't like to go out in the rain so when he can't hold it no more, he'll go out and so his business super quick. Since he has long coat, he gets soaked, especially his tummy area and legs so I have to towel dry him. When is snowing is even worse.
He refuses to use a pee pad and will NOT pee inside the house or garage at all. At first (when he was younger), I used to go out with him and stay there to make sure he peed, but he would sit and look at me like saying, "No means No Mom and I won't do it"

I've found that if they are taken out from day one in some slightly inclement weather ,they get used to it. Molly will go out in anything next to a rain storm. She can be the fastest pooper /peer when she needs to be . She gets BIG rewards for rain dumps. Snow never bothers her. I can remember the day we brought her home, was next to a blizzard, and I nearly froze waitnig for her to go. Aaahh the early days.

Whimsy has been trained to go on a pee-pad in a tray holder since day one.( her breeder starts them) Works perfect for us. I don't have to worry about the weather or the coyotes that live in my area. We keep it in the laundry room.

Lizzie goes outside only in any weather. She really doesn't seem to mind. I go out too and sometimes I have to encourage her to hurry. My hair frizzes up so easily that I don't like to be out in the rain too long!!!! I do have a towel by the door to use on her paws and sometimes I will blow her dry-not very often though.

I'm sure Kodi would too. But, honestly, I don't want to deal with his coat when he comes in soaking wet. So usually the decision is made by me, not by him. Fortunately, if he asks to go out, and I say "Use your box", he typically whines around a bit, then sighs and goes to use the box. Interestingly, he has NO qualms about peeing in the box, and often pees there rather than asking to go out. (which is fine with me). But he REALLY prefers to poop outside. He will only poop inside if his box is COMPLETELY clean. He also became less reluctant to use it when I found one that was big enough that he can make his "potty dance" circle and stay inside the box.

Is that the one where he goes round and round and round and round and round until he poops? Bumi does it too. When we re out in the yard and he starts doing it, it has become a tradition tht we all start turning in circles as well.
