Wink Any Takers for a Cute STINKER?

This Finn Man is trying my patience! I may have to raffle him off! We have had to put child locks on the kitchen cabinets to TRY to keep him out of the garbage, but he figured out how to put his paw through the crack and get the garbage anyway, so then I have to put the crate in front of the door to the garbage. He cannot be allowed out in the family room unless we are right there watching him like a hawk or he finds mischief. He is almost more human-like than dog-like. He was chewing on the baby gate, so I sat a dining room chair in front of it, and he pushed it over to the counter, and climbed on it and was pulling stuff off the counter top. I have been kind of busy lately, and I am sure he just needs more attention, but man, I have never seen anything like the way he can figure things out. So, if the right offer were to come along.......

OK, I am just kidding.....

ha ha ha Brody is similar in some ways...when I take stuff away from him or put stuff away to keep him out of it, he takes it as a challenge to try to figure out a new way to get at it. Luckily I so far haven't had to put up the child locks on the cabinets, but I do have them just in case. It drives me nuts that he'll continually go for the same thing after being told a trillion times to 'leave it'. You'd think he'd realize he's not supposed to touch certain things, but nope he still thinks it just means for that nanosecond.

Lol, too cute. Have you seen or tried those 'doggie puzzles' where the dog has to figure out how to open the puzzle to get a treat out? My Ceylon is not nearly smart enough to do anything like that (he gives up on a kong, even filled with peanut butter or cheese or creamcheese, after he's licked out all he can lol). But it sounds like Finn might like those...

Kodi has one, but he figured it out so fast, I might as well just put the food in a dish!

I think you're selling Ceylon short. I bet he'd figure it out in no time too. The problem with Kongs is that it's just plain hard WORK and persistence to get the food out, and if the dog isn't terrifically food motivated, they just give up. In Kodi's case, he takes the easy way out with Kongs... Just chews the end off. With the puzzles, it's a bit of mental work until they figure it out, but it's not PHYSICALLY challenging.

You're right in that Cey is not very food-motivated. So maybe you're right about the puzzle, so ok, sounds like a good Xmas present then!
