Ceylon's (newly) beautiful tail ;)

Up until tonight, I have always thought that Ceylon's tail looked a bit... weak. The hair there was always too thin, and, not long enough. I wasn't overly worried about it, especially since he is so young, but, I always see pics of havs here with beautiful, full tails and have always been a bit jealous .

Then again, I did have the sense that he just hadn't quite grown enough. Tonight proved that sense right - for the first time, I looked at him and was like, WOW, his tail looks AWESOME! . It wasn't just a moment-sort of thing either, his tail hair has somehow grown longer while I wasn't looking, and, he seems to keep his tail curled up better than before as well, so, now that I am noticing it, his tail looks SO much better than even just a month ago... (I think that the dark hair at the tip helps for sure and really makes it look awesome, but, still even besides that, his tail looks better in general!)

Anyway, not trying to just brag about Cey but I just noticed how beautiful his tail now looks and was able to capture it in pictures, so, just had to share

His tail does look great! I think the dark ending really gives it definition next to his back hair, too. Thanks for sharing!

I think that maybe the silky ones grow their tails a bit later. I remember "worrying" (not a lot... but we all want our babies to look their best!) because Kodi's tail seems much scragglier than other puppies on the forum his age, though he always carried it well. By the time he was a year, it had filled in a lot, and now it is beautiful.

I also have a friend who has an adorable little bitch who is only one major away from her grand championship. She is exactly one month older than Kodi. At 18 months, she still looked like a puff-ball puppy... adorable, but her hair wasn't very long. Then all of a sudden, it started to grow. Now, at 2 1/2, her hair really looks just like you would expect for an adult Hav. It seems that their coats all mature a bit differently.

I didn't want to comment on Rosie's tail. I was sure that she wasn't going to be like the others. Then one day, I noticed how it had filled out and now she steps on it sometimes. Someone should tell the newbies about these things.

I know, right? I spent the last 10 months thinking that Cey's tail was inferior and would never fill out right... somebody should tell the newbies about these things! .

That interesting I wounder if Maddies coat will do the same she is 17 mo and still looks like a puppy cut. Her head grew normal but her body hair is only about 3'' long.
Funny you started a tail trend because I was just noticing Zoeys tail tonight it seems to have gotten really long it hangs down to almost past her sides. I love her tail one reason is it never gets mats.

Cey has very pretty coloring. Hope he keeps all that dark stuff going on - it is very striking! Glad you have gotten over the tail envy!! Finn's is starting to get more full now too.
