kangaroo kibble

anyone out there feed kangaroo to their havs? i need to make a switch in food, django has beef, lamb, chicken, wheat and potatoe allergies, the venison has potatoes as well as the herring. i just found kangaroo with lentils from california natural which is the brand we are currently on. would love to hear feedback. we are dealing with major yeast infections and believe food could be one of the culprits.

I've been waiting for this to be stocked at the pet food store where I shop for Tucker's food. He's on the venison grain free California Naturals now. I'm interested in hearing if others have tried this also.

How did you know you were dealing with a yeast infection? What are the symptoms?

he has ear infections, (for 2 months) chocolate pudding in the ears, his eye runs nonstop- red staining, he has red fur around his paws from licking, his little penis is also brown and the groomer found a little fungus around his nails. he's going to the vet wednesday for his monthly shot so i am going to have a long talk about this.

a few months ago i had talked to the vet about everything and he suggested changing his food. i did to the herring and sweet potatoe but i just read up on yeast infections and the cause of them and in addition to environmental issues, it's been very wet here for months, potatoes, wheat, etc. etc. are culprits. i have decided to change his food and because he has an allergy to beef, lamb and chicken, i am a little limited in what i can feed him.

My friend was recommended to feed her dog kangaroo for his allergies but she couldn't find any foods with that in the formula.

Have you tried supplementing him with Coconut oil? You can use it in the food, in the ears and even on the hair (it absorbs within a couple days).

We used to feed my childhood dogs kangaroo meat and they lived to a ripe old age of 17 and 18yrs old. Kangaroo is a lean meat and great for dogs with allergies. When Bear is older I'll add Roo to her diet. Can you guys get Roo meat in the States? It's obviously quite readily available here in Aus.

Oh I see, sorry I seemed to have missed the kibble part in your original post, whoops!
Well if you can get the meat over there, I definitely recommend it. Not sure about the kibble but I'm assuming it would be almost the same as the meat and should be great for Django's allergies.
