And I thought toddlers were hard

Had to wrap presents and do general stuff by myself while dh was at the store. Puppies LOVED the wrapping paper, tape, tissue, and ribbon! Puppies LOVED rolling on and in all of the above. Puppies found egg carton while I tried to make ladyfingers. Puppies crushed egg shells (empty, thank goodness) on floor while I was baking.

I decided puppies needed some play time on the floor. Whew. Not sure I wanted to relive young motherhood right now.

Haha! I just went through the same struggle trying to wrap gifts, impossible.

I finally got her to leave me alone but then I got suspicous and she was in her bed with one of my nephews gifts. I hope he doesn't mind the slightly chewed sleeve. lol!

When they are too quiet, you need to check on them also.

Ah yes, the other side of this wonderful journey with our babies. It made me LOL, but then again, this time it wasn't my stuff.

I got smarter this year (must be old age) and decided to wrap everything on the kitchen island where Tessa couldn't reach the paper. That actually worked, except if I dropped anything, bows, ribbon, tape, smaller pieces of wrapping paper, it was gone in a flash. Tessa has the paper shredding gene times two, I think.

This also stopped my two cats from sitting on the paper while I was trying to wrap. Over the years, they have been more of pain when comes to wrapping than Cooper ever was. We have had to hide the dogs' presents further under the tree because they keep trying to open them, of course. Just a couple of more days and then they can go crazy with the paper.
