little huffs

I thought I'd share something cute Max does.

He barks when there is activity outside, so I've always said "no bark", which works most of the time. When I say "no bark", he would make these huffs and growls. I've always thought they were so funny.

Lately, when he would come out with the huffs and woofs, I would say, "Good max!" He looks at me and I say, "Little barks! Good!" Now he huffs a lot. I really laughed the other day when he was playing outside and his favorite neighbor buddy came outside. Max ran up to the fence and huffed at him! ROFLOL!!

Yes it is an endearing quality!! Gucci has replaced her puppy growl with huffs, the more opposed she is to something, the louder and deeper the *huff*, for mild irritation, its a quiet under the breath huff, for someone waking her up while she is getting her beauty sleep..a bigger huff.. lol

I swear she even rolls her eyes..talk about personality!!

It does look like that, doesn't it, Dave? I think it looks like they are sharing a funny joke. lol

Actually, it's right after I brought Cooper, my shy rescue dog home, and he and Max are having a playful romp.

I can relate to the little huffs. Both of my boys do the the little b
huffs a lot.. To me, it is like they are saying..... Well...ok. They make so many different sounds, shakes, different barks mean different things. It is very interesting to learn all the different sounds and actions.

Brody does it too and it cracks me up because half the time it's so cheeky, like he's just trying to see how much he can get away with.
