Separate Crates

What is the general thought of having dogs in their own crates vs sharing one large one?

I have two male puppies and they are in their own crates during the night.

Mine have always been in their own crates and it has worked out well. I put the crates side by side in my bedroom. When it's time for bed or if we're going out for awhile, I just have to say go to your house and they run to their crates. During the day it's not unusual to find one napping in his own crate. They each have a special blankie I keep in the crate. By having individual crates, they each have their own special space if needed. There's 10 months difference in their age, so Kody had already had time to get attached to his crate by the time Sailor arrived.
