Ideas on Toy Storage

I want to put Momo's toys in some kind of container. However, plastic is out as she will chew holes in it. Wood, maybe? What are your thoughts?

Here is a link to Amazon's pet toy boxes: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...+Box&x=13&y=14

I bought the Petstages Good Dog Toy Box from a local discount pet supply store and later found one at Ross for 1/2 price ($10) and bought it, too. It is closs with a metal frame structure. The lid is attached with velcro, and it has a handle for carrying.

Amazon has a sturdier box made of manufacture wood product that remnds me of cube boxes that can be found at Home Depot or Target for which you can add a door.

Rosie has a plastic one upstairs and a wooden cheeese box downstairs. I solved the chewing thing with bitter apple spray. Might as well not have a box though, she gets them all out in the middle of the floor.

I used thin wicker-type baskets I'd had for the kids when they were younger, but the dachshund LOVED eating them. I am now using a larger wire basket crate (purchased at the container store) that is low enough for them to reach in and get their toys out. I like it, because it's too heavy to push around the tile and easy for them to get into. My 12-year old likes to set it on its side, put a toy down for "bait" to lure the puppy, and then drop the "trap" as the puppy approaches. Drives the dachshund crazy! Baxter, who is not much of a toy dog, doesn't care.

I use two different sized sea grass containers with lids....but most of the time the toys are strewn... (i think from Crate and Barrel) and it is only Cash who plays with toys. I like that when we have company no one even knows where the toys are.

Thanks, all! She's not a huge toy player, but, she does have a few that she'll play with us. Most of her toys are just sitting all over in her ex-pen, except for the ones that she likes to play with us. Those are where she last left it when she gets tired of playing with them and us. I just want to clean up the mess in her pen. We'll see how long that lasts.
