Boys eating everything.

Our two boys are growing every day and we are loving them.

Every time I take them out side to play, they eat every thing they can find.
This includes wood, sticks, mulch and even Bradford Pear berries. I have tried to stop them but its a loosing battle.

Should I be concerned or is just normal for puppies?

Normal for a fair number of dogs. Yes I would be concerned. This is known a Pica, here's an article. http://aspcabehavior.org/articles/18...rent-Food.aspx

Our two boys are the same way. You should always monitor them to make sure they don't eat something harmful. A lot of plants, berries, and wild mushroomsare poisonous and it isn't good to let them chew on sticks or wood. Our vet told us that splinters from sticks or wood can migrate through the body if eaten and cause an abcess. It drives me crazy some days because I'm always pulling things away from them. We have pecan trees near the dog lot and everyday it was a game for them to grab a pecan before I could catch them.

Just have to monitor them closely until out of the puppy stage. I have taken all kinds of stuff out of a puppies mouth including glass.
