Before, During and After ... pics!

so, since I am sitting here going bonkers trying not to over do it, I decided to clip Tillie's nails and groom her out early. Normally I do it in the evening... LOL

and of course I had my camera on hand... then took her out for some more pictures... she does NOT like the idea of LAYING down in the grass, hahaha, I told my husband, of course she doesn't, it's her POTTY!? She probably thought we were INSANE even asking her to SIT on the grass... but we tried! LOL

The first pic is the before, her being all doggy outside with papa... and I even took a pic of the during!! I didn't think we would EVER get to the point where she would lay down on her side or back for combing, but she totally does now!! in the evenings she sort of falls asleep even! bonus!

and then just a bunch of pics of Tillie doing what she does best... looking CUTE!

Also I wanted to thank you all for all of your support and encouragement, even though we have never met in person you all have been some of my biggest cheerleaders!! Thank you for all the prayers, kind words and most of all understanding. Oh how I wish we could find the BEST Doggie Hotel in the country (or Canada!) and all meet up for a weekend... but then again if we did that I would miss you all even more after we parted ways ...

How's the home cooking working out, I mean for Tillie, the others can fend for themselves. LOL You might have to get hubby to learn the recipe while you recover.

LOL ... we are doing good Dave! my mom helped out last week and I'm cooking for my family now so I can cook for Tillie... LOL thankfully I still have 1 more week of the veggie puree made up before I have to do that... THAT is the time consuming and exhausting one for me... 3 hrs average... sigh... but she's worth it!! besides I only have to do that every 5-6 weeks! my family expects me to cook for them every DAY!? sometimes MULTIPLE times a day... sheesh!

Let them spoil you a little. I know ,it's probably not you , but don't over-exert yourself.

I just finished two baths and I love FLUFFY dogs!!! I only bathe them every 3 weeks, trying to keep dry skin away, but sometimes it's hard to put up with them looking so "UN"fluffy for several days!

I hope you are feeling better and things begin to look up!!

Hugs!

If you just don't WANT to bathe them any more often, that's fine, but you WON'T dry their skin out with more frequent bathing as long as you condition them well. Many of us bathe our dogs weekly, and show dogs are often bathed as often as every 4 days or so. Just like people, it's the products you use that matter. Clean, conditioned hair and skin is healthier than dirty hair and skin!

AGREED! Tillie had to go 2 1/2 weeks without a bath because of my health stuff... it was WAYYYYYY to long, my MOM ended up giving her a bath because she could not stand the fishy smell and greasy feeling hair! LOL I try not to go more than 10-12 days and feel that she is healthier and happier when she is clean...
