I have two boys and a girl. I don't think it makes any difference which you get. All of mine get along with and love each other. Just get the one you want to add to your family. It's more about temperament than gender.

Just Milo and me, and . . . Bailey makes three . . . until Ruby said, "hey, what about me?"

If you are introducing a young puppy it doesn't matter, if you are introducing an adult dog it could. It matters how socialized your dog is with other dogs, also it depends on your dogs personality. I have two boys and now two girls, I have always liked the boy dogs best, after many, many years I have females (I love them too) and that is because my Hav male Yogi is reactive to other dogs, so the females have been easier, my females are not alpha types. My Lhasa male is very socialized with other dogs, and I could introduce most any dog with him. If you use a good breeder they can steer you to the right pup. Rescues that use experienced foster parents also know what dog has the best chance to work out. It boils down to; If your dog is well socialized you can choose as you like. If not try to go with a experienced source.
