Nina Ottosson Twister
For Brody's birthday I ordered him the Nina Ottosson Toy "Twister" puzzle game. He seems to enjoy puzzle games and is fairly adept at using his paws to manipulate things, so I figured it would be a good fit for him.
I already use a puzzle ball for feeding his mid-day meal which he loves. (there's just one hole in it that the food comes out of). He can get real good spin action going on that sucker!
Today it came. I was so excited! So out of the box it came and I let him watch me put his dinner in the various slots.
Basically how it works is that the inner wedges slide to reveal the compartment. On the outside there are bones you can use that will lock the wedges in place so that the bone has to be removed in order to slide the wedge. I thought that seemed too hard at first, so until he gets really good at it, I'm not introducing the locks yet.
He did really well and seemed to love it. I had to restrain myself a couple of times to prevent me from going to help!
Here are a few pictures. I'm really pleased with it. He managed to get all his dinner out and eaten in under 10 minutes. I'm glad I didn't go with one of the easier rated ones.
