Wanna Be Entertained?

If you want prime entertainment, give your Hav a ping pong ball. We were rolling with laughter earlier this evening while watching Nico play with a ping pong ball that he found. The ball was bouncing all over the place and he was bouncing after it batting it with his paws like a cat. I was amazed at how he knew, almost instinctively, to have a gentle mouth with it, too. Why do I have 5 dozen puppy toys when all it takes is one ping pong ball?

Ha ha ha! I have a golf ball that I allow the girls to play with on a rare occasion when they are supervised, but I bet a ping pong ball would be a lot funnier. Hillary loves the golf ball and will play with it for an hour without stopping. It's very amusing.

Can you get a video of yours? I'll try to get a golf ball video if I can.

That is cute! I have a pink cat toy, it's the size of a ping pong ball but it has sand or something in it...the dogs go nuts for it! It's amazing what they will play with!

I'll have to try that....Izzy does that with an ice cube, but a ping pong ball won't leave a puddle.
My two are really getting to be funny when I go to my mom's house. It's just like taking my kids when they were young. My mom has a toy box in her closet (her youngest grandchild is 11 so it doesn't get used much anymore unless the greatgrandchildren are there), but anyway, she has a few small stuffed animals, a giggle ball, and a stuffed felt ball in her toy box. My furbabies get really excited when we go to grandma's, greet her with exuberance, then head right to the closet with the toys. They get on their hind legs and pick out two or three "toys", then Zoey proceeds to take whatever Izzy has from her. The game is on then....tug-of-war, RLH, etc. My mom just laughs hysterically at them. I have a house full of toys for them and they hardly look at them! It is so funny watching them at grandma's...and they aren't even dog toys! I think I need to get mine all picked up, put them in a box, and store them in a closet.

I would be afraid Smarty would swallow a ping pong ball, but she gets a lot of her out side exercise with a child $1 12 inch ball from Wal-Mart. She pushes, jumps, and chases it all over the yard. When it is stuck in a bush or something, she walks away like “I took care of that” and then waits for me to move it so she is can capture it again.

Kodi's favorite toy - a little squeeky ball from PetCo. I have 4 of them, just in case one breaks or they go missing. Shelby has a little blue furry rabit with plastic tabs hanging from its arms and legs. It squeeks also. She likes that one and the giggling carrot.

But their most favorite thing is plastic water bottles.

katie - Me too! Mine love the cat balls with the sand inside. Same size as a ping pong ball. They get so excited!

Mijo is afraid of some balls too! I thought it was just the exercise ball but there was a small one he was afraid of too! But he LOVES tennis balls!

Want to see something funny? Try a plastic water bottle or a 2L bottle! Cut off all the plastic from it first of course! Its *hilarious* to see his "RLH" moments WITH the bottle!
