Jumps in the tub

Lately Hanna has been randomly jumping in and out of the tub. I will be on my computer and I'll here the "thud-nails-on-tile" sound and before I can get up and see what's going on she's out of the tub and looking at me! Seems like she's found something that get's my attention? Anyhow, when she first did that a few months ago there'd be a few pee drops so I would just take her out thinking she needs to go out. She is the first dog I've had that doesn't do any of the obvious "want to go out" things that my past dogs have done, such as, come over to me and stare in my face while whining, run to the door, stare at the door, bark at me bark at the door, bark at leash etc.

She seems to have no or very suble clues when she wants to go, so we've just been taking her out during certain times. I never thought I'd have a dog that jumps in the bathtub to say she wants to go out!

Maybe she likes all the bath-groom attention?

Pretty funny!

She may still start telling you more clearly that she has to go out. For a long time, I wondered who was house trained... Kodi or me? It wasn't till he was past two that he started reliably coming to me and barking to go out. I was so surprised when he started doing it that I didn't even make the connection. He needed to train ME a bit!

I know that dogs are dogs and cats are cats, but our Persian cat used to leave a few drops of urine in the bathtub.....when the drops became more concentrated we realized he had a UTI. It sounds like Hanna doesn't do this anymore, but something to watch for. Our Hav, Maggie, hasn't mastered jumping in the tub yet, but is very interested in snagging a washcloth or two that might be in there.
