We Understand

In yesterday's terrible loss of life and devastation from the tornados, did anyone see the picture of the elderly man kneeling and sobbing, hugging his dog, the only 'possession' he cared about saving.

Don't we all understand that.

I saw it this morning and it brought tears to my eyes.

Me too, Lucille. I know that you and I would only care about getting our babies out of harm's way. Funny how 'things' can be replaced, but not our best friends.

It was heartbreaking. You're exactly right - everything can be replaced, that's what I've told the local fire department, Panda is the only thing thats important.

My heart goes out to the people and their pets in the tornadoes' paths. One of my biggest fears is to not be at home or be unable to return home when the 'big one' (earthquake) hits.

A woman standing in front of her destroyed house this morning was holding her tiny Yorkie explaining that it didn't matter because everyone was ok.

Sigh....

I feel the same way. With all the crazy things going on (we had an earthquake here), that is always on my mind.
