I have no stunning name rec's for you. my last pup, took me over a week to pick a name. in the mean time I called him pup pup (I know so original). he still answers to that...
I'm of the theory, if you look at them (imagaine a traditional staring contest) the name will become evident.
Yup, it took us over a week I think to pick out Ceylon's name once he was home
. Cey (as we often call him) by the way is named after Ceylon Cinnamon, since his hair was very cinnamon-ey colored when we first got him - and even though we knew he would outgrow most of his cinnamon-ey coloring, once we figured out the name, we knew he would always be Ceylon Cinnamon to us forever
So I agree - have some names in mind, but wait until you get your pup to decide. It may then take some more time as well, but, you will know the right name after a bit
Funny side note about Cey's name - we pronounce his full name sort of like 'SAY-lon', with the emphasis on the S, and when we shorten it to Cey, it still sounds a lot like 'say' but with a very strong emphasis on the 'S'. So if I said, "I'd like to say, blah blah blah", the 'say' there sounds a bit different from how I say (haha) 'Cey', his name, but overall it does sound very close. So once, I was with a friend and Cey was doing something I didn't want him to do and I said, 'Cey! No!', and my friend said, '...to drugs!' hahahaha.
-Well, I thought it was pretty funny, I guess maybe you would have had to have been there
