I did have one for my puppy. It didn't seem to help much lol but he had really bad separation anxiety which is not the case with every puppy. It's not that expensive and couldn't hurt. He did play with it as a toy......

Get a tube sock and fill with rice, tie a knot in the top and microwave. If it helps your puppy, then you might think about buying the one, otherwise it is a waste of money. The rice will stay warm a long time, and lasts forever. My 85 year old MIL fixed me one when I was healing from the surgery.

I bought one before we brought Maccabee home. I think it was helpful the first couple of nights, but the rice sock would probably be even better. The buckwheat sack in the toy is very small.

I have a homemade rice sock that I use for my aches. Cass could smell the scent and would just lick it. I hadn't thought about using it for a "Buddy"...hmmm?

I've used it, and Brew still digs it out of the toybox to play with it.

FYI, My breeder did not want me to take home any intentional scent from her home. I had wanted to take a toy or blanket and pick up scent from her house to mine for the transition. She said it's best not to. I agree, we have done well with transition of all three. We just had (and still do!) them crated in our room at night.

I would be concerned about the buckwheat if they are able to chew it open. I think a warm blnaket from the dryer would do the same. LB

I have one, still in the original container! I never used it and keep forgetting to return it.
