Tammy

Hey Tammy,

Is it raining as much up there as it is down here? If it is, is Tillie doing better in the potty department than during the last monsoon?

bwhahahahahaa... I had to take a second glace when I saw my NAME as a thread title! LOL I feel so loved!
Ya, it has been raining really hard for days now... I try to catch every possible slow down in rain that I can to make her go out. Up here it rarely STOPS raining once it starts... so Tillie is adjusting. The worst time is when I need to get ready for work, I HAVE to have her at least TRY to go potty, but often times the rain is REALLY bad and she refuses, just stays under the patio with me. I sure wish she would realize that she CAN pee on the concrete as it is covered and relatively dry there... silly girl!
Right now it is storming SO bad, I am watching and listening for a slow down so take her out. We TRIED so hard to get her to use a potty patch or pee pads when she was a puppy but it just wasn't happening. sigh. Sure wish she had an indoor option!!

how is potty training going? Does Trooper go outside to potty or use his pad mostly??

Oh ya know, it's going. It took a big backslide for a little while but it's getting better each day.

Tammy:

Have you tried standing over Tillie with a large umbrella above her so that she doesn't get rained on (mostly)? When I had only one dog, that was something I did when I wanted to get her outside quickly without hassling with putting on a Raincoat.

we actually have a front covered patio area and she DOES go out onto the grass to go potty.. she just isn't happy about it! LOL we got SLAMMED last night, apparently we got over 3 inches of rain in the past 24 hrs!! It has stopped for the time being... thankfully!! Hopefully it dries up a little so I can take Tillie for a walk! poor things been stuck inside for a week now!!

We had a day here and there when it did not rain which allowed our front lawn to drain somewhat. The yesterday arrived with downpours throughout the day and night. We porbably got 3" of rain, too.

Right now it is not raining, but more is expected today. Frankly, I would rather the storms skip us and head East to add to the Sierra snow pack.

LOL, ya I'd rather it miss us too, but that is not good, or going to happen!
we are about 10 minutes aways from 2 VERY big, important lakes... and then the snow pack on Mt. Shasta is about an hr away... So we really need the rain. we went up to the dam a week or 2 ago and were shocked to see how low the lake really was!
When it rains here it rains for weeks... very interesting that we are actually more on path with Oregon weather than CA weather. About 1/2 hr south of us gets less that 1/3 the amount of rain we get!!
