Flaky Hair

I am a newbie. We adopted Domino on February 18th and we are in love. This is our first dog. We have given him a bath 3 times and he seems flaky. I use Hartz Vanilla shampoo. Does anyone have any idea what to do about his flaky hair. It even looks like dandruff.

yeah, not the greatest food. I'm not the expert on shampoos. Not sure about Hartz. See what the experts say about shampoos. You might want to try a better food and or add a fish oil suppliment like http://www.seapet.com/seapetomega3fi...ne-16floz.aspx

He is about 14 weeks old.Our vet noticed it last week and she said to keep an eye on it especilly after a bath. we gave him a bath yesterday and today he was just as flaky. Thank you for welcoming me to the forum.

Also, how do I get my baby's picture on the message? I keep trying and still not showing up. It is on my profile sheet but wont come up.

I don't like recommend foods . I usually like to refer people to a dog nutritionist like Sabine. You can do what a lot of people do and google top rated foods but that doesn't necessarily get you the best for your dog. Yeah check with you vet first to make sure nothing else is going on but I wouldn't recommend any foods they might suggest. I'll let the others give you a good shampoo . I use biogroom.
