I Can't Believe He Said That!
As I was getting ready to scoop up Jack so I could comb him down. My dh says (which he has said before), "poor Jack." Well, he says it again and says "Poor Jack, why don't you just cut him down?" "It will make it so much easier."
As I was combing down Jack, I reminded dh again, that it only takes less than 10 minutes to comb Jack out (one side), and he is not blowing coat now, so it is easier and faster now. Guess...he does not realize, I actually enjoy combing Jack out...it is relaxing. I also remind dh that Jack does not have any mats and tangles like he use to and the only main problems (tangles) are usually around the collar area, that's why I like to leave the collar off.
Jack does not get combed out each day especially when I am working 2-3 nights in a row....so, I try to comb him down the day before I start working.
I never thought the day would come when it takes less than 20 minutes to comb out Jack. Dexter does not need to be combed out everyday. I can comb out Dexter every 3 days or once a week. It is soooooooooooo nice!
Wonder when I am going to get the itchy fingers to use the clipper? So, far, so good, I am enjoying my fluffy boys, so they are safe. I will have to check when the boys were clipped down last year.
