RLH coughing?

Every time Cassie gets the zoomies, she runs so fast she ends up gagging, or coughing. Is this normal?

I know I've mentioned that Camellia has environmental allergies. She sometimes gags and hacks, whether she's been rlh or not. She's on a very strict program of baths and sprays with special shampoo and spray.

At a wild guess, Cassie might have some mild allergies - maybe seasonal? - and be gagging / hacking to clear things out a bit.

Lucy does this too, in fact just this morning. She's just nine months old now and has always done it. However, it seems the older she gets the more exertion she needs to have before it happens. It happened just this morning after running as hard as she could for a minute (no corners, pauses, etc). (Charlie was chasing her across the property.)

I've asked my vet about it and she asked me if it sounded like a goose honking or such-and-such doing something else. Since it didn't sound like a goose, she didn't seem too worried and for the most part Lucy has stopped doing it. I too am very interested in the responses.

I think running like that woud make me gag too! So, I'll not worry about it too much right now.
Thanks!
