Walking 2 Dogs (at Once)

I live in an apartment and while Lila is trained to use peepads as needed, Fonzi isn't. And since our goal is for him to do AAT, he really needs to be trained to go outside. So, I'm now trying to walk 2 dogs (one 11 pounds, one around 22) without anyone peeing on anyone else, and without being pulled in half. (On the weekend, they can each get their own time, but during the work week they're going to have to be walked simultaneously.)

Any advice? Thanks much!

My walking is not organized at all! When we do take to the streets, Jack and Dexter head off in different directions. It is not really a walk, it is just checking to see who has visited in the neighborhood. It is like the boys checking their email. I let them stop and sniff all they want and they leave their message to their friends. We usually take to the streets 2-3 times a week (twice a day). The rest of the time, the boys are in their own yard.

my co-worker trained her dog to go on command.

I never thought it'd be an issue with boys, and marking, you know thought they'd mark everything, but when Ollie is at work with me, he is really picky about where he wants to pee, takes forever!

I've walked 2 dogs for yrs, and now 3.

if they aren't too good on leash, just train with one dog at a time right in front of your house. you only need to go 2-3 houses down then turn around. my best piece of advice to you, is if they are pullers, just stop and wait, till they stop pulling and look back at you. do this every time. and before you know it they will be walking on loose leash.

I prefer to walk my dogs in a pack, it's like a family vacation, and bonding time.

I definitely need to try this out! I have pullers (hard) pullers at times...depending on what is ahead. I just feel so guilty leaving one of the boys home while I take out only one.
