Jinx update

Hey guys. I've been pretty busy lately, so I haven't been online in a while. Things around here are great. Today Jinx discovered what fun it is to play in the sprinkler. He had such a good time attacking the water!

The night before last, we all fell asleep with Jinx on the bed and he stayed with us all night. Last night, we kept him on the bed with us. Sometime during the night, I heard him inside his crate, so I assumed Chuck put him in there. Turns out that during the night, he got off the bed himself and went into his crate on his own! We have a large blanket box at the foot of the bed and some doggy stairs down to the floor. I guess he learned how to use it.

He and Alec are getting along well, but he still prefers me and DH which I knew would happen anyway. He and Gryff are still like two peas in a pod.

House breaking is slow going. Sometimes he will let us know that he needs to go outside and other times he just goes where he wants with no warning whatsoever. He earns his name - Jinker Stinker.

Sounds good Ivy. You're half way there. Super that they get along so well.

Sounds like things on right on track. Those first several months are tough when it comes to the potty training - I thought I would not make it.....haha

I'm glad he and Gryff are doing so well together. Maybe he and Alec will, too, as time goes by. McGee has now turned into a Daddy's boy!

Aw, so happy to hear how well everyone is getting along. As for the potty issue, I know how frustrating that can be, but hopefully you're on the road to sanity. Pictures, please!

Yes more pictures!!! It does sound like he is settling in nicely. House training is always the hardest part of having a puppy...when they're trained we breathe a sigh of relief and then we forget about it.

It's great that Jinx isn't afraid of the water from the sprinkler. Maybe he won't have an issue with going outside in the rain when he needs to go. And it's also great that he's able to move freely from your bed to his crate. Sounds like everything's going well. I also tried pet stairs on my bed, and opted for a shorter ottoman bench in front of my bed because Sergio likes to bounce and jump. He's older and bigger than Jinx, though.
