Thanks, Zury and Kara! The first one was taken when we had all the deep snow winter before last... Dave had to actually cut trails for Kodi with the snow blower so that he could go out and do his business. The second one is actually a painting I did from a photo taken on Kodi's B'day last year. This year there are NO violets in that paddock!

I love looking at your happy boy. I do have the violets but, my neighbours see them as weeds, I look at them as fill in plants. You always capture his face.

Poohkey miss you, monkey.

Thanks, everyone. I enjoy my artwork!

Ruthi, I don't put the braids in that often, because it takes a while. But since I grew his bangs back out, his "regular do" is with a band on each side, where the braids are in this photo. My guys seem to think it doesn't make him as "girly" looking as the topknot. We decided the braids make him look like Captain Jack Sparrow:

Thanks, Robbie. I don't ALWAYS capture his face... I just don't post the "misses"!

And I agree with you about the violets. We don't go for the "golf course" type of lawn... it's just not practical with 5 acres, and a lot of it is paddocks, where you can't use chemicals anyway. I LOVE the fact that we have a succession of wildflowers mixed in with the lawn. It starts in March, when half of the lawn around the house is filled with crocus, then we get Scillia, then violets, then Ajuga. I'll admit, I even like dandelions as long as they get cut down before they go to seed!

As long as my lawn is green, I don't really care that it's a mix of plants and not, strictly speaking, "grass"!

That last picture is so cute and so funny. I love the idea of the bands on each side instead of the top knot. I will have to try that when mine has long enough of hair.
