Any hints on problems with posting pics?

Just trying to post a few puppy pics this morning, but I keep getting errors. I have posted pics before - does anyone have any suggestions for settings etc. that might be preventing the posts?

Thanks in advance.

two ways to post pictures:
1) as an attachment
2) photobucket.com (free)

the attachment is small and is at the bottom of the msg. pidk 'manage attachents' and go from there.

photobucket.com you upload your pics, then in 'album' you roll over the image you want and click on 'img' and it'll say copied and then you past it into your message and you get this:

sorry I haven't uploaded any hav pics.

Thanks for the help! I keep getting an error when using the Manage Attachments, so I will have to try photobucket.

Nothing is working! Oh well thanks for the help anyway. The puppies are very cute. 14 weeks old, happy and healthy. Maybe I will eventually get their pics posted. I certainly enjoy everyone else's pics though.

Manage attachment. Choose file. Click on the picture you want and then click open. Click upload. Give it a few seconds to upload. Then you can close out this little box. Go to your other open window. Then click submit reply. See if this will get you closer.

If you are in photobucket, stay in 'album'. don't select a single photo, but be on the page that shows all the photos in the album.
1) then with the pointer, roll over the pic and stay over the pic (don't click any buttons)
2) and you will see a drop down menu, and scroll down to 'IMG'
3) click the 'IMG' line and it should say in that little field 'copied'
4) last step is to come here and paste the IMG link into your message. it will just look like a string of text like : [IMG] blah blah blah [backslashIMG]

when you post, it'll change to a picture. voila!

do you have a mac or windows computer? You probably have to resize them smaller to post, but I am not sure how you do that with a windows photo program, I have a mac and have a folder for the pics I upload to the forum, its called havaneseforum, and I select a picture from iPhoto or aperture (the programs) and export them to the folder and during that process, it lets me resize them to Small, Medium, large or custom I always choose medium and then when I am at the forum and want to upload, I just go to the HF folder and select them.

I haven't used photo bucket in ages, so I'm not sure as far as that goes.
