Rabbit Kibble!!!!

I am very excited. Prairie, Natures Variety has come out with a raw instinct Rabbit Based Kibble. My boys go crazy for rabbit--- and in fact in Jasper's finicky stage all I could get him to eat was Rabbit Jerky and The NV Raw Rabbit Medallions (and filet mignon) He's better with eating now--- but I think rabbit is a good change for allergy prone dogs. Although rabbit is not the only meat source in this product. Just thought I would share.

I saw that a a local pet store about a month ago and asked them about it. I didn't get it then but might get a few cans to try mixing in with their kibble.

Anneks, I believe they have had the cans for a while. it's the rabbit kibble that is new.

Any online stores carry small bags? I'd also ask the smaller pet store chains. They seem more apt to do things like that.

Great, Missy! That is quite a find. It must be expensive, no?

Lincoln's bro had to go on a rabbit & sweet potato home cooked diet for a few weeks (recommended by the vet to figure out what he was allergic to). She bought the rabbit at the Asian market and had to cut it up....HERSELF. She said it was REALLY awful, looking at this cute little rabbit, curled up in the fetal position, on her cutting board. Ack.... Luckily he is on a special allergy kibble now.

yah Jane, no way I could get a whole rabbit (or chicken or cow for that matter) and have to cut it up. I get horrified looks at the pet store when I (used to) buy the cadet rabbit jerky. hard to get around the fact that they are cute little animals.

Ewww! Do they really sell them like that? Ugh. I thought it would come in a nice filet? lol

I guess it is disturbing when you really think about these things.
