We got the House!

It's official. It's our first house and I'm soooooo excited! No more little apartments. No more annoying, questionable neighbors. No more cars wizzing by as soon as I step outside. No more landords!

The house is really cute and has nice curb apeal, location and a great back yard, however what sold me was the dry basement with a wonderful sink and long counter - perfect for grooming! The entire interior needs to be redone. We will be able to do the highest priority things (paint, rip up old carpets and refinish or put in hardwoods since DH has horrendous allergies, oh yeah and those hideous brass handles in the kitchen!) and then do the rest over time. It's in Bergen County, NJ about 10 minutes away from NYC (without traffic, that is!).

Congratulations! The house looks great.

I forget what town you will be in but I hope close enough for a playdate?

Congrats on your new home. It looks lovely. You are smart to make the changes this way. You can live in it for a while and then really make it your own.

Oh, it's lovely! I really love older houses, even if they require some work... so much more character. Congratulations! I'm sure Hannah will be thrilled to have her own back yard, with plenty of room to RLH, too!
