Is Toby part Havenese?

We were lucky enough to find Toby from a local rescue about 3 months ago. He's the sweetest boy ever! They said that he was a Lhasa Apso mix, but I wasn't sure what the "mix" was. He does have the underbite of a Apso. But I came across this forum and was reading some of the traits and it sounds like he may be part Havanese. He does the "bat out of hell" thing once or twice a day, and he likes to stand on his back legs. He weighs about 13 pounds and he is very soft. We got him a puppy cut a month after he was with us, but before that he had really long wavy hair. Take a look, and any info or opinions appreciated. It doesn't really matter what he is.....we love him!

It's hard to say, but if you cover his mouth, he looks very much like a Havaese. You're right of course, it doesn't matter what he is. He's your little angel.

He is a doll, I think shih Tzu mix, I think they got it wrong his ears and the underbite Lhasas are suppose to have a level bite, they can have a very slight underbite but any more is a big fault and their mouths are much bigger then the Tzus. Your pups ears are more Tzu then Lhasa, sometimes breeders mix the two. Sometimes its just impossible to tell, what ever he is he is a cutie and looks like a big love. Congrats on your new pet.

Havanese occasionally are undershot, we had one in our first litter. It doesn't matter what he is but cute!

Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. Now, does anyone know why they go "crazy wild" at times? Toby will just run like he was shot out of a cannon after walks and baths. Very entertaining though!
