How does weather affect your dogs?

Yesterday we had lightning right on top of us for almost 5 hours and the thunder from it was really loud and shook the walls. The dogs were fine with it for a few hours then they had enough and started barking at it. The weird thing is my dogs usually love a good storm because I take them out as puppies and play with them in storms to get them used to it and loud noises.
The thing I noticed was that around the same time the dogs started barking at the loud thunder we also started having funnel clouds.
I wonder if it had something to do with danger around us or if they dogs were just tired of the walls shaking?
I was fine until the news showed their live camera over the city and while the weatherman was talking into the camera next to him on the screen a funnel cloud started, then I got a little shaky. I think the weatherman did too because seeing the look on his face when he looked at the live camera was funny as heck.
How do your dogs react if tornadoes are around or during storms?

Well, I don't know about dogs from personal experience, but I know that animals sense (dangerous) weather changes or storms a lot earlier then humans do. I had a parrot that used to act a little crazy way before the storm actually was visible. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing with dogs...

I believe that Maryam. When I lived in So Ca there was a man who consistently predicted earthquakes. He got everyone's interest because he was always right. He finally gave up his secret....he would watch the lost pet ads in the paper and when they spiked to a certain point, he knew a quake was coming.
The pom I had at the time was oblivious to quakes but friends of mine that had dogs swore their dogs acted differently even starting the day before a quake.

When I was a child, we had a Pomeranian that could sense earthquakes. He would throw up and then whine and act agitated several minutes before a quake. He did it with every earthquake we had, and never did it any other time. I swear he could sense tiny movement in the earth or something similar. Science should have used his sensitivities to predict quakes!
