Fine chain leash?

Miller is the worst leash chewer EVER. Bitter apple dosent work, treats do not work because he woould rather play with the leash, and when i take the leash from him he just jumps up higher and bites another part of the leash. I was thinking of useing the spray bottle, that worked to get him to stop chewing on shoes, but i dont want him to have a negitive expeiance with going out for a walk. My trainer said to get a small length of chain an attach it to the leash so it would be unplesent to bite, but he just goes and bites above the chain part, the chain is attaches to the auctual leash its self, he still uses his harness. so i was thinking of buying a fine chain leash, he walks very very well loose leash. What do you guys think. Once again, not a choker, a leash made of fine chain, like this.

I see no problem just watch that he does not get it tangled around his neck and in his coat. LB
