morning greetings

So my little 1/2 hav Ollie, he usually just waits for me to get up and then he joins me in bed, while I check my email, or not. he usually doesn't sleep on my bed, but on a dog bed on the floor at nights.

for about the last 2 wks, he's been waking up at 5:30am, on work days (I get up at 6:30) and jumps on my bed, then walks up to the side he thinks my face is on and puts his face really close to mine (I think he's trying to see if I'm awake - eyes open) and he stays there, his breath on my face, till he gets tired - a couple of minutes and slides to a down positions and falls back asleep.

I'm a really light sleeper. I wake up to the turn of a door knob. so I am fake sleeping while he breathes on me.

Just wondering what your dogs do to greet you in the morning.

Brody used to do that. I'd feel him breathing on me, but if he decided to go in with the wet nose or a lick he'd usually get a reaction out of me and then game over. He would also sometimes decide it was time for me to get up so he'd climb up onto my pillows and jump on my head!

Lately though, he just wants to sleep. He'll gladly take over my spot if I get out though.

Our morning ritual usually is that I wake up and give him cuddles and he rolls over onto his back for more pets. Then when I stick my foot out from under the blanket he attacks my foot and tries to block me from getting up.

I'm alway awake and up before Tucker's ready to get up. He and DH sleep in. When DH gets up Tucker waits on the bed until DH is dressed and ready to go downstairs then he hops down on the bench then onto the floor and follows DH downstairs. When Tucker was a puppy he'd climb on DH chest and stare at him. That was him telling DH it was time to get up and take him to potty.

cute story , Molly fills out her menu request for breakfast and drops it on my chest. Actually I get up before her and move her to my pillow. If she ever has to get up to go outside, she'll come from the bottom of the bed and lick my face. If she sees me awake ,she just stands at the bottom and looks out the door of the bedroom. I've got her trained

Kodi sleeps in his crate/ex-pen "bedroom" downstairs, so on of us gets up to take him out when we hear him whining at about 6:30. Dave does it on week days since that's when he gets up anyway. (which is probably why Kodi is used to getting up then too) then we give him his breakfast.

If it's a weekday, he then races upstairs and asks to be picked up onto the bed. I get a few kisses, then he wants to bury DEEP under the covers where he goes back to sleep, and will remain as long as I stay in bed. The weekend routine is similar, except that I usually get up to take him out, and then he and I BOTH go back to bed!

Zoey does the same thing every morning I think she is telling me to wake up and take her out side. Maddie is the sleeper. I take Zoey out and have to carrie Maddie because she is lazy and would rather still be in bed Days I don't work I let Maddie sleep in.

that came out of left field. I'm not Spanish but I would take offence if I was!

Charly likes to be picked up first thing in the morning and does this stretch hug/neck nuzzle thing we just love.
DH has been bring her to bed on occasion now that potty training is down. We dont have to worry about the sheep skin rugs in the bedroom. Charly wants to sleep deep under the covers down at the foot of the bed. I have to dig her out and put her on the top. DH snores sometimes and I've awoke to find Charly back in her ex pen/kennel on bad nights!

My dog is not spoiled I'm just well trained.
