Short Blog

When I read this, I kept looking for more. There ain't no more. LOL Leave it up to Jean Donaldson , I think she's taking a break. I think we all need a break from time to time. I know I'm looking forward to some summer holidays. Hope everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable summer. It's way too short up here. http://academyfordogtrainers.com/blo...s-but-what-if/

I feel like I'm on vacation with a dog or 3 every time I go to a dog show. Although my DH loves the dogs, he really isn't into dog shows. The last one he went to was a specialty that I was judging sweepstakes. I was recuperating from 2 hospital stays ( emergency for ruptured appendix and later infection related to it) and was still on medication. I'd asked if he'd drive me and of course he did. We made arrangements for the big dogs and at the time only had 1 hav who came with us. Even though he actually had a good time (fed good food for one), he would rather stay home and take care of the dogs I don't bring.
I'd recommend a "vacation" with your dog (s). Great to have the one on one with Mom (or Dad) for a change.

I loce occasional "show vacations" with Kodi too. Most of our shows are within day-trip distance, but once in a while we go to one where we have to spend the night. It's fun to snuggle up with just him and a good book in a hotel room!
