You know you have an adolescent puppy when

You're blow drying him and realize he has blood all over his face! DOH!!! Nothing like an extra face wash right after a bath!

Poor Trooper is getting neutered tomorrow so I figured we'd give him a bath tonight. Poor guy has been losing baby teeth like its going out of style, and lost one just as he got out of the tub (he was facing the other way). When I turned him around to face me and continue to dry and comb him, I had to giggle because he had a bloody slimy face. Those side teeth bleed so gosh darn much!!

Poor Trooper!

My Gemma is getting spayed on WEdnesday. She is into everything. Everytime I turn around she's got a shoe, sock, underwear, dish towel, etc in her mouth. She has also suddenly decided to run the opposite direction whenever I call her. This faze can be entertaining, but totally frustrating at times!

My fondest memory of adolescent was the housebreaking regression (not!) and her pooping in my dining room under the table or living room (in the center like a poop centerpiece) lol She wasn't a big chewer on non food things (except the wall where she licked a hole in it under my sewing table! lol) so pooping in the nice rooms of the house was her way of pissing me off.

They are so cute though, how can you get mad?

Oh yes, we know these things well too. Frustrating sometimes, but still can't help but laugh!

Is this what's going on?? Adolescence?? I was just wondering if all Havs lose their mind at 5 months or if it was just mine. They are running me ragged. Stealing things, running out of the driveway, having crazy RLH sessions. And that is just today. I have no idea what they have in store for me tonight.

To do list: make neutering appointments!

Ya no kidding, especially when his face was soaked, it helped the blood spread around. Good thing blood doesn't make me pass out. Hehe

Oh yes. This totally happened to me. He's back to coming when called. However, in my Hav's wise older years (2.5 yrs now), he's just become much sneakier with contraband items. If he's not at someone's feet, he is hiding with his contraband chew "toy". The big difference now is that we are MUCH better at keeping contraband out of his reach.
