What do you use?

So I want to hear what you guys use to walk your havs. I use a martingale collar with a fine chain leash because Miller bites the nylon one. If we are going for a offleash walk he wears his harness with the matching leash. He wears his collar with id on it at all times. What do you guys use?

For casual walks, Kodi wears a Sense-ible harness. He also wears his collar with tags when we are off the property, so if we gwt to somewear that it's safe for him to be off leash, all I need to do is unbucle the harness and slip it off.

For walks, I use a nylon slip collar (can't get out of that). For show, it depends on the dog, some a slip collar others a martingale.

I could never slip millers harness off when he goes offleash because he hates putting those darned things on... He runs away and ducks his head down almost all the way thru his front legs. Giving him a treat after wont work because he runs away and wont eat for a bit, like 2 minutes... I will have to work on that.

Benny wears your basic collar and I use a nylon leash.... however, he insists on biting the leash, so I may try something different in terms of leash.

Even the no-pull type? They don't have anything that is tight going over the head. Kodi doesn't like the other type of harness either.

Miller did this to, but i went to the local pet store and got a super fine chain leash, bitter apple spray works to.

Django wears a rolled collar, this prevents the hair from matting. they also make a rolled harness but he runs away from me every time I pull it out. Petego (petego.com) makes them and they are amazing. The leather is from italy and they last forever! They are pricy but they last forever.

Normally Brody uses a harness (I've tried both a step-in and the sense-ible no pull), but he chewed through his last one in a couple of weeks so right now he just has a regular neck collar on until I decide on a harness for him.

He is one who hates having the harness put on (even though it isn't unpleasant at all and he's never had a normal walking harness that went over his head) and will hide. This is why I leave his harness on at work (and how he manages to be able to chew through them) because I just don't have time for his theatrics when I need to get him out to go to the washroom. I don't have all day to try and get him out of hiding in his crate and put the harness on him and then take him out.

For his car harness, which does have to go on over his head, I leave that IN the car now and put it on in the car and then buckle him up. I found that much easier than trying to grab him out of hiding the second I even glanced in the direction of the harness. He's a bit of a drama king sometimes.
