Soft sided pet carrier???

Hi Folks -
I picked up a Bergen ASPCA brand soft sided pet travel carrier today in medium at Home Goods for a great price. I was just wondering if any of you prefer a soft carrier to the traditional hard plastic carriers? And also, is medium big enough for a full grown Hav that is expected to be 12 lbs? The max on this carrier is 22 lbs - but I was more worried about the height. I'm planning on getting a puppy in the fall and want to make sure I am buying smart here.
Any information is appreciated!
Thanks!!

Best,

is this a travel crate? training crate? sleeping crate?
I think it would work for travel, car, air, train, etc ... not sure if it would be big enough for LONG term crate training, but hopefully someone more knowledgable than I will chime in soon!
Congratulations on your soon to be baby and welcome to the forum!

It looks fine as a travel carrier. I personally wouldn't use it as a regular crate, I'd imagine many dogs would chew through it (especially as pups) if you tried to use it as the main crate. But it'd be great for traveling with pet under seat on a plane or for the car, taking to the vet, etc.

Hi -
Yes - it's for travel, vet and things like that. I plan on using a standard Mid-West w/ divider crate and expen for at home training.
