New Havanese friend is coming to visit... HOW to do it?

Hello guys. We will have a mini playdate with a 11 months old Havanese boy in MY house. I know that maybe it is not the best place to introduce a friend but we don't have any other fenced yard to do it.
An ideas on how to introduce the dogs at first? Should the dog come in through the yard or through the front door? Should I put my dogs in an expen and let them meet through the expen first?
I want to do it right so any ideas will be appreciated !!

How cute! I am sure that will be OK. Your dog will be surely be excited to have visitors in the home.
Or, you could have them on leashes and meet outside first before coming in.
Have a fun mini-playdate!

The recommendation is to meet first on neutral territory. My guy's been nothing but overwhelmingly friendly to every other dog no matter the location or circumstance. We've had dogs come into our yard with no problem. I don't know if this is a breed trait or not. You know your dogs best.

I've NEVER had trouble with Kodi with another Hav, in or out of the house, and we've done a number of playdates.

I WOULD barricade the play date into an easy-clean floor area, unless you KNOW for sure the other dog is COMPLETELY house trained, even in other people's houses. (which takes much longer than in their own house. I've seen WAY too many small dogs have "accidents" or mark in other people's houses. I keep a really close eye on Kodi in these situations, just because I don't want him to get ideas from others. If it's at my house, I keep everyone in the kitchen or on the porch, both of which are easily cleaned, solid surfaces.

not sure if this is typical, but I went over to have my little guy, meet a lil' girl pup, hav, at her place, and just after a fleeting second of a sniff, they were fast friends and playing like crazy in the house. they've been fast friends ever since.

The first play date I did with my Hav was at a Collie friend's when visiting for a dog show. A mutual friend (and others) who has Havanese came for dinner. We put the two boys in an ex- pen in the yard and they had a grand time.
