Dehydrated dog food

I remember a few weeks back, we were talking about dehydrated raw food. Where can I get some?

We are going camping at the end of the month and I am not about to run to the supermarket eveyday to get chicken for the dogs, nor can I keep frozen food in a cooler for 3 days.

Can someone help me or give me suggestions?

Thanks.

Zury

Perfect, Thanks! I also just realized that one of the local pet shops here carries Nature's Variety Freeze Dry. I check NV website for the recall, it was for food with an expiration date of 2010.

ZiwiPeak is great dried raw food that is easy to take on camping trips as it doesn't need to be re-hydrated or refrigerated. You can buy it on their website (www.ziwipeak.com), Amazon, and many other websites. And you may be able to find it in your local pet store too.

Here's a link to "Where To Buy." www.ziwipeak.com/shop/where-to-buy/
Click on IMPORTERS & DISTRIBUTORS and select your Country and State from the dropdown.

I have also seen Chewy & Stella's dehydrated raw. It is in an orange package. I got a few samples and the puppies seemed to like it.

I bought ziwipeak for my dog and he refuses to eat it. (And it's not cheap!!) That's my fault for home cooking for him, I suppose. Who'd want to eat smelly, hard, dried & flaky raw food when you can get some nice warm cooked chicken thighs, sweet potato, broccoli, and a few blueberries on the side?

We've tried a few different brands of freeze dried raw and so far MY favorite is the Nutrisca chicken. It actually absorbs all the water and looks and smells very appetizing. Riley loves it but he loves everything.

I must have read the wrong thing... or maybe since I was looking at recalls for the freeze dry and these are for Kibble? ...
