I missed you-here's a little something...

Just wondering, does anyone else have a neezer that must have an object, any object, in their mouth to greet you at the door? Mig will do this with his toys, my daughter's flip flop, or whatever he can grab. It's like he's giving me a little offering.
I tried to google the behavior and didn't find much.

Beth, Pixie Puff and MiG too

My whimsy doesn't do it, but my daughters black lab does it with anyone who walks in the door.

LOL, so funny that you bring this up. Odie does this every time! When the door opens he's so excited, crying and whining and then he has to run and find something to carry. If you can get to him quick enough he'll drop otherwise he's taking it outside. At any given time I have gone out and picked up shoes, socks, underwear, toys, etc outside.

Lizzie doesn't, but our neighbor had a Golden that would grab a boot or shoe and whine when someone would come over. It was so cute.

My Baxter absolutely does this, especially with socks!! It's really very cute. No one ever enters the house (family, friend of foe) without getting a present from Baxter.

Cash does this with his squirrel. But it is not an offering. Don't try and take squirrel. Squirrel is Cash's security blanket. He also lies down with squirrel and sucks his tail almost like he is nursing.

Kodi doesn't do it, but he doesn't really have a chance, since he stays in his pen when we are all out of the house. It sounds absolutely adorable, though!
