Theses guys are smart!

Some of you might remember a while back mentioning that I wear a trash bag when I give Timmy a bath so I don't get soaking wet. My daughter was tie dying yesterday and decided to wear a trash bag during the process. Timmy is a total busy body and is generally right in the mix of things especially when my girls are doing something, sometimes they ask me to take him away because he's such a pain. Timmy took one look at her and took off in the opposite direction at first we couldn't figure out why, after a while we figured out it was the trash bag. Can you tell he doesn't like getting a bath?

Hehe, Boo Boo hides in the bushes when he hears me getting bath stuff out and Yogi will stay outside and I have to carry him in, they like after the bath, just not the bath, my other two love the whole process. Poor Timmy, such a smart boy.

Kodi goes into his crate and curls up. Then I have to pull him out, and he does this "passive resistance" thing, where he goes totally limp with this "I'm being abused" look on his face as I pull him out. He doesn't even get up when he's out of the crate, he still lies there, all limp and pathetic. It's pretty funny!

Ted has figured out it happens in the laundry room. We are in a bungalow so all the doors are closed so Ted doesn't have access to any rooms without one of us. If he hears a door open, he's in but if its the laundry room, he runs the other way!

My big girl, runs any time I touch a flashlight or head lamp. I use them to look in their ears and to see the quick in the nails. My voice must sound different b/c she always knows if I want to give her a spa treatment. the boys aren't so smart...

LOL, yup too smart for thier own good sometimes

IF Tillie SENSES it MIGHT be bath day, IF I happen to go in the front bathroom and move ANYTHING on the counter, if I unplug the blow drier, if I wash my hands in the front bathroom.... any of these things sends her skittering to her crate. lol poor traumatized girl. I close my bedroom door (where her crate is) HOURS before I even THINK about giving her a bath. when THE time has come, she is usually curled up some where praying I don't SEE her... then she does the whole belly-up/sad puppy eyes/limp noodle thing.... pitiful, poor abused puppy. <<evil grin>> tomorrow is bath day....

Kodi got fooled today... I had to switch groomers yet again, because mine moved away. As you know, I typically just have the groomer clip nails, and trim feet and sanitary. Because of my post-migraine fog, when I had to take him into the new place this morning, and I found out that she had time to bathe and blow dry him too, while I waited with him, I said go for it! He has always liked going into that store because that's where we often get his training treats... Not sure if he will want to go in there any more!

The good news is that she did an AWESOME job with him, and did his nails so fast he never even had time to complain about his dew claws!

Kobe doesn't mind his baths at all. Sunday i said you need a bath today, you went swimming in the lake and that water isn't the cleanest. He ran down the hall and when i finally caught up with him he was sitting in the bathtub waiting for me to start the water. I feel very lucky he likes it so much since many do not. I really think his favorite is after the bath, he likes to run around and throw his towel around the room for a few minutes before we brush!

Toby wins the prize. Rosie won't hide, she just cowers down like I am going to beat her if I get out the shampoo or her brushes. But I had a collie-sheltie mix once that when my daughter got out the shampoo, she ran to my office which was an old gardern's house. It was spring or falll, the weather was so nice that I had the door open and she pulled the screen door open and ran to me, I just moved my legs over and she got in the knee-hole part of the desk. Soon my daughter came looking for Poppy. I lied and said I hadn't seen her.
