Finally....THEY LOVE EACH OTHER

My internet service has been down for at least a month....missed you all....and have taken up way too much time catching up! But it has been interesting and fun to be back.

Stella Bella is now five months old and it has taken the last three months for things to settle down here. Stella is a lot more aggresive than Izzy and she really had her on the run most of the time. Well they have worked things out and are really enjoying each other....and we are having a grand time watching this all unfold. They just wear each other out and plop down together to sleep right next to each other. It was just what I was hoping for when we decided on another one.

I look forward to catching up, have a lot to read and your great photos to look at.

Estelle and the Bella Sisters wish you all a restful and happy Sunday.

When we first got Molly Tasha wouldn't let her near me. If Molly tried to sit in my lap on the couch Tasha would growl and snap at her. Now they both sit in my lap or one on each side of me with no issues. They play for awhile and then lay down close together and rest. They cuddle up together on the bed some nights. Glad things are going well for you with two. We should have done it sooner since you get two happy dogs instead of one that's lonely if you have to leave them alone for awhile.

A couple of cuties! I'm glad they have worked things out and have become good friends and sisters. I'm sure you are enjoying them.

Thanks for the compliments and I so agree with Molly and Tasha's Mom.
Two really are a lot easier (that is after potty training). They don't seem to be too jealous except when we first come home (or either of us come home alone) They are so excited to see us, like we had been gone for an eternity.
Then they out do each other trying to see who will get picked up first. I personally think it was one of the best decisions we have made....for them and for us.

One thing I have noticed is that the older one is much more attached to us...the younger one is more of a loner...will go outside on her own and stay there for a long time. Izzy is my shadow and I can never leave her sight, maybe for 5 minutes, but then she will come looking for me. Izzy is a much more mellow dog, Stella is still pretty feisty, not sure if it strictly their personalities or just a two year old compared to a puppy? We will see as time goes on with our adventures with the Bella Sisters.

Actually I'm Molly and Tasha's dad.

We had Tasha for three years before we got Molly. Tasha is very klingy and needy while Molly is more independant. Part of it is probably different personalities as well as two different breeds. It's likely a bigger reason for the difference is that Tasha was our only dog for three years and she is spoiled when it comes to attention. Molly loves to cuddle on my lap but if I put her down she will amuse herself with a toy. Your experience with the older dog being more needy sounds just like our situation. She got used to having you all to herself and being the center of your attention. They do adapt to another dog in the house but it probably won't change her personality. Tasha follows me everywhere and has to be able to see me. She was that way from day one.

Sorry about the mom thing...nice to see a DAD posting. Your above comments are so on point...exactly what is happening here.

It is soooooo much fun to have two. Along with all the fun times they really sleep a lot longer!
