Sorry I have not been around. Life has been crazy lately. My arm is healing, slowly......... Still not allowed to use it. Go for xrays Wed. Pray there is good news. It is still pretty painful. Anyhow, Otis is doing great! I love the little booger. He is such a smart boy. He is going on 6 months, and has been potty trained since 4 months. He now has the freedom of the house. He loves his toys. He is doing better with riding in the car. He is the hairiest dog I have ever had, lol. His hair is really thick and long. When he is bathed and brushed, he looks wolly. After a couplel of days, he gets that crimped look. It is really cute. He pretty much understands what I tell him. He does his rlh a couple of times a day. He is ugodog trained, but, he loves to go outside and potty when I let him. He is spoiled rotten, but, hey, my kids are grown, so, he is my baby. I will get some pics and update when I can. He is so hard to get a pic of, he is so black.

Hi Ruthi! Cast? Sling? Immoblizer? Right arm or Left arm. It has to be pretty rough doing stuff around the house if you are not able to use your arm. Read the forums, lots of good information can be found.

Hi, left arm. It is in a contraption that looks futuristic. Gears and all. I am able to take it off and shower and get in the pool. Thank goodness. Yes it is a bit hard to get stuff done, but I am really thankful it wasnt my leg. Yikes!

Gosh, I just can't imagine being in your position....it really stinks! You must need help with bathing and grooming Otis I'm sure. Will you keep him in a puppy cut? Otis sounds like a good boy and I know he is wonderful company for you while you heal. I hope you can get that contraption off soon!

Glad to hear your arm is healing, and hope things turn out good Wednesday. I'm sure it helps you out that Otis is such a good boy and I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures, I'm sure he's grown a lot!

Glad to hear from you. I can't imagine how you get anything done with only 1 arm. I thought I had it bad. I had hand surgery 2 weeks ago, can't get it wet, it does hurt, but I can use my fingers. Hope your x-rays say good things and sending healing thoughts

Yikes, I had to go back and try to find out what happened to you - shattered elbow? A fall? I hope the x-ray news today is good. Sounds like you have been blessed with a model Hav in Otis. Best wishes to you - that the healing process goes well.
