canned food..how long

I have had to feed Django a bit of canned food with his kibble, with all the meds he hasn't had much of an appetite but a little canned food helps. How long does a can of dog food last in the fridge?

quote. from Sabine.
"I would definitely take it out of the can and store in a food safe dish. Preferably glass, stainless steel, or ceramic. Foo grade plastic is also ok.

Once a can is opened, I find the food gets unappetizing (well, maybe not to the dog LOL) fairly quickly and would recommend using it up within 2-3 days, and freezing what you can't use within that time frame"

Before I started home cooking I was feeding cash addiction canned... I divided each can into 3 servings and immediately froze the two not to be used. Until I needed them. 20 minutes on the counter defrost them enough to cut, and less goo on the beard. I think for just a bit each meal, I would use a mini muffin pan (silicon is great) freeze and then store in a bag..then you can defrost one little ounce each meal.

I am sending Django a belly rub.

I nuke Molly's when I bring it out of the fridge. I don't think she likes it cold. LOL

I use an ice cube tray and freeze the food in the compartments. I pop them out when frozen and put them in a freezer bag or a container and take one cube out about 30 minutes before Toby's meals.

my dogs won't eat canned unless the can was just opened. luckily I have 3 dogs, so it's not an issue.
