What are you currently using for flea & tick prevention?

I used Advantix Marlowe's first summer and it worked well. This second summer I started with Advantix as well, but he ended up losing hair where I applied it. My vet recommended the Trifexis pill. Month 1 and 2 on it were fine. But month 3 (now) and I just found multiple living fleas on him (oh and 1 tick - I thought I was in an urban area with minimal risks)! So - it's back to the drawing board. What are y'all using that your pups are tolerating well?

A friend and I have been having this discussion, I feel really uncomfortable putting these flea and tick guards on pups baby skin with ALLLLLL those chemicals on them! I imagine it cant be good for them to inhale all day and be on there skin
On Doggyloot today there is an Organic/All Natural/Hollistic Flea and Tick repellent wipe or spray!...I am going to order it!

I am blessed here in Nor Cal in that we don't have many ticks and we really don't take her to areas where ticks could be. We typically treat out 3 cats with Frontline plus faithfully, and by some miracle Tillie hasn't had any problems. I really don't like putting chemicals on Tillie, it turns her white/pinkish skin to a sickly looking black where is is applied... I did treat her last summer, but decided to do try just treating the cats this summer and see how it worked...

I use frontline Plus and a Preventic collar. I am forced to use chemical because the ticks are crazy here. I've had lyme disease 3 times! I've tried herbal stuff but I found the ticks would just jump off the dogs and onto the floor, into the bed or on me!

I've been using Frontline Plus again, with mixed results. It worked great in August, but not so good this month.

I've been using Halo cloud nine herbal dip in their shampoo, and I made spray with it.
