4 Star Day for a little dog

I've been home this week recovering from some surgery, so that means no bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, etc.
So yesterday morning while I had my precious Lily out, the quiet, laid back, submissive little lady, I could only watch in disgust as she made the most of her few minutes of freedom from me.

We got outside and she immediately bolted for this particular flowerbed where it appeared that she chased a small creature out of it's hiding spot. There was a brief but full speed chase around the yard after that, during which I was unable to see what exactly it was being chased. She then gobbled down the prey in a matter of seconds, RAN to a tall patch of water grass and chomped down a few blades of grass and proceded to...you guessed it...puke.

Now all of that I could have lived with just fine, but what did she do to really top it off?!? She looked right at the spot where she'd just puked and then ROLLED in it!!! Of course there I stand all disheveled, clutching my chest, bandaged, squeeking out "NO! Lily! Stop!" She jumps up and is covered with slime, grass and who knows what else. Of course she still has "stuff" clinging to her 'stach too from the puking So in a matter of 15 seconds, she stalked something, killed it, ate it, puked it up, and rolled in it! She was very pleased with herself.

There's no way I can pick her up to give her a bath, so we're stuck together alllllll day! My DH thought it was so funny when he got home, he insisted I share it with the forum, even though Lily is just the sister of a Hav. I agreed as long as he agreed to give Lily a bath right away!

OMG!!!! I can just picture it. LOL
Dogs will be dogs. Hope you are feeling better.

Just a hint...buy those puppy bath towels, like big baby wipes, in case you need to clean her up and can't puck up, bend, etc. I keep them by the back door just for those very special moments.

Poor you! Lily sounds like a typical child - just causing enough trouble that she is getting on your last nerve, but making the story funny enough to be enjoyed from a distance.

Recover quickly Beverly!
