Arrow Trooper's first haircut (this thread really has pics)

So I got Trooper's hair cut for the first time last week. He's only, what, 9 months. Guess it was time. That and I wanted to cut it shorter before he starts blowing coat. I'm sure it's not short enough to easily survive blowing coat, but it works for now. I don't think I would have been able to take the shock if I got him cut any shorter than this the first time.

His face/beard/ears remain completely untrimmed. His tail is also untrimmed. The rest of him is about an inch long. The lower half of the belly got shaved, and his armpits are about 1/4-1/2 inch long or so. Definitely got the hair out of there...the mats were killing me!

The first two are before pics, and the last three are after pics. Yes, I know he needs a topknot, but after he got home from the groomer, I just left him be.

he really looks adorable..and so soft!! The groomer did a good job!
I'll bet he is going to lighten up quite a bit as his adult coat comes in. He looks like he has personality plus in that last picture

What an adorable haircut! I'm sure cutting him down now will help. Much better than having to get him shaved because of the mats. I just love his markings.

Cutie! He does look like a stuffed animal.

You can tell he likes his new haircut by that great smile in the last pic.

Uhhhhh, it definitely took some huge getting used to. Now that its had a week to "grow out" and not look so perfect-hedge-like, I like it!

I'll never say I super love it because I'm still sad to see the colored hair go!
