Food question

I'm sure this has been discussed but I missed it so here goes. What's everyone's opinion on FreshPet natural dog food. We feed artemis dry food now but we add some fresh chicken or a piece of Stella and chewy's dried steak sprinkled over the top. I just wonder if this FreshPet offers more nutrition?

yeah Donna ,I've asked Sabine about this one a year ago. here's her reply ...." I do not recommend it. It contains insane amounts of salt to make it interesting tot he dogs, and to serve as a preservative. The company also uses Tyson chicken. Yuck"

On their Vital formulas, I don't see any salt except for the very last ingredient which is sodium selenite, don't know what form that is. I've fed this once in awhile in the past for a change up and will probably buy again for the same reason. However, I never feed the same food for more than six months and usually they are eating two different types each day, i.e., kibble, canned, fresh and sometimes freeze-dried too.

BTW, I just checked dogfoodadvisor.com and they rate it a 5-star food.
